The Name Does NOT Say It All If a place called a tavern brings to mind sawdust-covered floors, beer on tap, swinging doors at the entrance, and “lost my dawg” country songs, disabuse yourself of that notion before going here. Calling this place a tavern is a bit like calling the Taj Mahal a recreational property. Apparently adding the adjective “urban” to tavern has some telling effects. The space is big, bright, comfortable, and opulently appointed. And by the way, the Mile One in the name refers to the historic Canadian Pacific junction of that name, what with the CP tracks just behind the building.
Combines Beautiful Space, Sumptuous Dining, and Lots of Fun This urban oasis brings it all together. There are lots of big screen televisions for watching the games, pool tables, great sound equipment, a circular bar with lots of bartenders to see to your libations, a dance floor, regular attendance by DJ’s, and fine dining with a wine list that begs to be seen. The food is overseen by award-winning chefs and the service is as befits a place of this calibre.
Corporate and Private Functions Welcome Private dining rooms are available by appointment for corporate and private functions of all kinds. Be it a seminar, team-building event, business luncheon, or board meeting, Mile One can accommodate you. The building has state-of-the-art wireless capability throughout, so presentations are easily handled on big-screen televisions, giving you the best in electronic show- and-tell. There is no extra charge for corporate use of the facilities, and custom catering and menus are available. Call to discuss your requirements and timing. |
