The Big Picture
If your image of a farm kitchen transports you to your happy place, you are destined to enjoy your experience at Calgary’s new Farm restaurant. This unique eatery opened its doors on Calgary’s trendy 17th Avenue in October of 2008. The concept of Farm is to give customers that warm fuzzy feeling of coming home to the family by serving up delicious wholesome food and wine in an open kitchen atmosphere. The restaurant is punctuated by a specially crafted 12-foot long harvest table, which larger groups can reserve. The owner of this great new establishment also happens to own the fine cheese shop directly behind the restaurant.

On the Menu
The Farm menu is a tribute to simple but tasty, home-cooked food, with an emphasis on expert pairings of savoury meats and sausages with fine cheeses, fresh-baked breads and homemade condiments. The cook, a chef of fine repute, serves up warm hearty favourites like homemade soups, grilled sandwiches, mac and cheese, and cheese fondue. For those with a refined palate, Farm offers creative selections such as Arugula and Spinach salad with duck confit. To compliment your meal, Farm recommends just the right beer, wine, port or sherry. And two words for dessert: handmade and scrumptious.

Where & When
Farm is located on 17th Avenue and 10 Street SW, with plenty of parking in front and along the side streets. The eatery is open for lunch and dinner, seven days a week. In keeping with the down-home farm feeling, offers seats along a kitchen bar, tables along a banquette, and one long happy harvest table uniting up to 12 guests.
