The Calgary International Airport is located at 2000 Airport Road NE, 17 kilometres (10 miles) from downtown Calgary. The airport is easily accessible from Barlow Trail NE (connects to McKnight Boulevard NE, Memorial Drive and Highway No. 1) and Airport Trail NE (connects to Deerfoot Trail NE). It takes approximately 15 minutes to drive from downtown to the airport in ideal traffic conditions. Plan ahead and check the road conditions with AMA's Alberta Road Reports.
Twenty-six airlines fly from Calgary directly to destinations all over Canada, the United States and Mexico as well as London, England and Frankfurt, Germany. There are separate check-in areas for U.S. destinations, as well as a dedicated U.S. Customs area for pre-clearance.
